Neulandschule Laaerberg, Schulschachteam

Latest evidence

A team of the school played in the Wiener Schachschülerliga, the school chess league of the Wiener Schachverband, in 6 league rounds of the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons whose round-1 date the results server prints; the card cites 3 of them: 21 January 2025 (primary schools (Volksschule), qualifying round (Vorrunde) 2024/25, team ranking, printed «NLS Laaerberg»); 20 January 2026 (primary schools (Volksschule), qualifying round (Vorrunde) 2025/26, team ranking, printed «NLS Laaerberg A»); 24 March 2026 (primary schools (Volksschule), final 2025/26, final ranking, printed «NLS Laaerberg A»). In the qualifying and second-chance rounds the pupils are paired one by one and each school is ranked as a team in the round’s team ranking; the finals are team tournaments. A team letter (A, B), an added level (OS, US) or a changed spelling does not make another school. The school’s own site gives its address as Ludwig-von-Höhnel-Gasse 17-19, 1100 Wien. The results pages are the only chess trace; no page of the school about chess was opened, so the entry stays unconfirmed. The card records the school’s team, not a session open to visitors.
