Monday chess in Vienna 5

Monday has a mix of student, social and club chess. Schachclub TU Wien, the club of the technical university, meets every other Monday of the season at the café Alter Ego from half past six, for students and for everyone who ever was one. Café Spezial in Mariahilf sets out its chess tables in the afternoon, and the chess salon of Fremde werden Freunde meets on about three Mondays a month, outdoors in summer.

In Meidling, the works-league team Dekron Invest holds a Monday evening that the Chess Unlimited calendar marks as open to all. South of the city, Schachverein Mödling trains children in the late afternoon and then opens its club night at the Mautwirtshaus, with boards, pieces and digital clocks provided.
